The Donkey

Jama owned one very smart donkey. Too smart. It remembered everything. One day, Jama went to the market with his donkey. Along the way, he met his friend Ahmed. Ahmed waved. “Hey, Jama! Can I borrow some money?” Before Jama could respond, the donkey said, “No, Ahmed! You still haven’t paid back the last 10 dollars!” Ahmed’s eyes widened. “What? How did he—?” Jama sighed. “Ignore him.” At the market, Jama tried to buy some fruits. The seller smiled. “That will be 5 dollars.” Before Jama could pay, the donkey whispered loudly, “You only have 3 dollars in your pocket.” The seller smirked. “Looks like you’re short on cash, Jama.” Jama groaned. “This donkey speaks too much!” On the way home, he muttered, “Maybe I should sell you.” The donkey snorted. “Good luck! I’ll tell the buyer all your secrets.” Jama gasped. “Okay, okay! You win!” The donkey smiled. “That’s what I seemed to think.”
